Boy did I botch this. But remember I was shooting out of the back of a pickup truck on unpaved roads ;)
Could have been better but I still think it accurately portrays daily life for the Haitians.
For the next few weeks I will be posting shots of people in the Port de Paix area (the same area as the adoption home is in). These shots were all taken in the downtown area of Port de Paix.
Most of these upcoming shots were taken from the back of a moving truck. I would have loved to get out and meet some of the people but we had a destination and with our group it wouldn't have been a good idea.
These children in the photos are in need of many things. If you are interested in helping or would just like more info please leave a comment to that effect and I will get back to you or email me at nedens @ gmail.com (be sure to remove the space before and after the @). Children in the free school can be sponsored for $25 a month which gets them 1 good meal a day (for some the only meal they will eat), a uniform, and school supplies. So as you all take a look at this series please consider helping.
I really appreciate everyones comments. They are a great encouragement to me. Thank you!

This photo says a lot about what life is like--it provides enough visual clues to give me a feel for it.
