Check us out

Posted by Nick Edens (Toledo, United States) on 6 January 2008 in People & Portraits.

These are the some kids that came out from everywhere to see us. Some were shy some weren't however they were all very interested in us. We had brought some small bags with candy and granola bars with us. I remember the kids not knowing what a granola bar was and having to explain it to them. Not speaking creole only made it harder. :)

Tomorrow I will show this shot in b&w. I like the color version here but I am really partial to b&w work. Feel free to leave comments as to which you like better.

These children in the photos are in need of many things. If you are interested in helping or would just like more info please leave a comment to that effect and I will get back to you or email me at nedens @ gmail.com (be sure to remove the space before and after the @). Children in the free school can be sponsored for $25 a month which gets them 1 good meal a day (for some the only meal they will eat), a uniform, and school supplies. So as you all take a look at this series please consider helping.

I really appreciate everyones comments. They are a great encouragement to me. Thank you!
